Pre 1980 Japanese motorcycle repair and restoration
Limey Bikes is a vintage motorcycle mechanic from London that thought it would be a jolly good idea to open a workshop in Austin that caters ONLY to pre 1980 Japanese vintage motorcycles that the people here seem to love so much.
He offers full restorations back to stock, cafe racers, Bobbers or just maintenance to help keep these old machines on the road.
He does have a huge thing for the Yamaha XS650, so you could say it's a speciality.
If you simply want advice on buying a classic... he can help. He doesn't even mind if you'd like to watch and learn a few tips on keeping your bike in tip-top shape... as long as you are accompanied with a bacon cheeseburger or two.
Remember, as with anything you have a choice of Quick, Cheap and Good. Choose only two.
